When you think of marble, oligarchs, glitzy hotels and bad taste come to mind. Not any more – marble interiors and accessories are big news for 2015. Whether it’s the elegance of a Carrara marble splashback in the kitchen paired with deep indigo units from British Standard or a two tone monochrome bathroom in black and white marble, there are plenty of marbles to suit all tastes. Try Stone Age for a wide variety. This is a look that never dates and has the longevity and is hardwearing enough to avoid frequent replacement. If you are looking for just a hint of marble try a copper lamp teamed with a touch of marble or the luxe drinks trolley from Oliver Bonas. H&M also has a good selection of marble homewares this season. I am loving this look and when it comes to the next round of decorating, marble will be at the top of my list.

Mini Preen SS15
By chance my nine year old daughter and I seem to be wearing so many similar clothes these days which seems only natural to me. What I seem to buy, I also like for her and she mostly appreciates too. Luckily we are moving out of the pink stage. However I am not talking about exact versions of the same outfit but the wardrobe staples like denim dresses & dungarees, breton tops, most recently a summer trench and because it’s me and my obsession, a jumpsuit! Mini Preen always shoot their campaigns with mother and daughter versions of the same outfit, Barbour adult and children’s sizes are selling like hot-cakes as are Hunter wellies for both generations and of course not forgetting Petit Bateau’s iconic yellow raincoat or mariniere.
Around £5 billion worth of children’s clothing is sold in the UK each year so it’s no wonder that children’s fashion is going from strength to strength with many high profile designers getting in on the act. Here’s my little selection of mini-me style.

Recently I have been spending a lot of time looking at chairs and have to say the Peacock Cane Chair is one of my favourites. Gaining popularity in the 60s and 70s, peacock chairs are made from rattan / wicker, making them perfect for outdoor use. They can look glamorous as well as ornate. These colourful ones are from The Family Love Tree who have a large selection.
Available in adult, tween and child versions in numerous colours. Each chair comes with a sun resistant cushions with its bold cane print. Here are a few of my favourites.

I think I am a little obsessed with jumpsuits! I just can’t stop buying them. What was once a niche item has now become a wardrobe staple and a new summer uniform.
So here are my three of the best and another one I couldn’t resist adding.
The H&M black one as seen in Grazia is the most versatile and comfortable piece I have ever worn. It goes with everything and is suitable for day or night teamed with a pair of heels. And it’s purse friendly too at £15 now in the sale!

Bring the outside in and add a touch of the tropics with these new wall stickers and lights. A great way to brighten up a child’s bedroom.
